I need help! I need friends to help keep me accountable.
A long time ago, in a kingdom far away, there was a scrawny little princess. Things happened that hurt her deeply and broke her heart. She needed some padding to cushion the blows of life and protect her heart. So she ate lots of fluffy, cushiony food and gained a protective shell.
The problem is, the shell, instead of protecting her, is now causing her physical and emotional pain.
While she was in that shell, she learned how strong she really was inside. She finally figured out she no longer needed that harmful shell.
Now she is trying to escape from it. Will you help the princess by monitoring her blog and following her progress, occasionally giving her an attagirl or high five, and calling her out when she is doing things to rebuild that cushion? I hope you will.
I'm going to post photos of everything I put into my body.
Oh, wait, I should tell you . . . I'm the princess in the shell.
Anyway, I'm also going to post a record of my physical activities, including steps taken and exercises performed.
The princess, er, me, I have a goal of losing 100 pounds by June 1, 2016.
Please check in with me when you can and check my progress. I'm not going to disclose my starting weight until the end of the project. But I will be posting pounds lost.
If any of you have similar goals and want a reciprocal arrangement, I'd be glad to hold your feet to the fire as well. Just write and let me know.
Love and peace, always,
Becky Lyn, the reluctant princess in a shell
